Connect a custom domain

Using acme.com as an example — the same steps work for any domain or subdomain you own.

    Open Settings → Domain

    In your dashboard, go to Settings → Domain and enter your domain, e.g. shop.acme.com.

    Copy the DNS record Forma gives you

    You'll see one record to add — a CNAME if you entered a subdomain, or an A record for a root domain.

    Add it at your registrar

    Log into wherever you bought the domain (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, or your local registrar), find its DNS settings, and add the exact record Forma showed you.

    Wait for it to propagate

    Usually a few minutes, occasionally a few hours depending on your registrar and its DNS provider.

  5. 5

    Click Verify

    Back in Forma, click Verify. Once it succeeds, your storefront is live on your domain with HTTPS handled automatically — no certificate setup needed on your end.
