Accounting

Manage → Accounting turns the cost data you enter on products into real profitability numbers — no separate bookkeeping tool required.

What it shows

  • Cost of goods sold — total cost of everything sold in your selected range.
  • Gross profit — revenue minus cost of goods.
  • Inventory value — current stock valued at cost.
  • Product profitability — margin per product, so you can spot which items actually make you money.
  • Supplier spend and recent purchases — a running record of what you've bought in, if you log it.
  • Sales tax collected — the GST portion of your revenue over the range.

Where the numbers come from

Cost per unit and supplier are optional fields on each product (or variant). The more consistently you fill these in, the more accurate your profitability figures — Accounting simply reads real order and product data, it doesn't require a separate ledger.

Selecting a range

Like Analytics, every figure is scoped to a time range you pick, so you can compare this month to last, or check a specific sale's actual margin.

Fill in cost per unit as you add products

It only takes a few seconds per product and it's the one input Accounting depends on — much easier to keep current from day one than to backfill later.
