Tax & GST

If you're a GST-registered business, Settings → Tax is where you tell Forma your rate and registration number so every order and invoice carries the right figures.

What you configure

  • GST rate — your applicable sales tax rate, e.g. 17%.
  • GST registration number — printed on customer invoices for compliance.
  • Tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive pricing — whether your listed prices already include GST, or GST is added on top at checkout.

How it applies at checkout

Once configured, every order calculates its GST amount automatically and shows it as its own line in the order summary — customers always see exactly what portion of their total is tax.

On invoices and orders

Every order and its invoice carry the GST rate applied, the resulting amount, and your registration number, so you have a complete, compliant paper trail without any manual invoice work.

You're responsible for the correct rate

Forma applies whatever rate and registration details you enter — it doesn't validate them against FBR or determine the correct rate for your business. Confirm your rate and registration status with your accountant or tax advisor.
